When we think of coffee tables we usually think of an item that has straight edges and is rectangular in shape. But that is not always the case. There are many variations of this traditional piece of furniture, and one of the most common is the oval coffee table. This can be due to a number of factors.
An oval table seems to be a classic choice, and is very often found in homes where there are very young children or elderly residents. This is probably due to the fact that there are no corners through which accidents can occur making them safer for those who might be slightly unsteady on their feet or whose eye-sight is not as good as it once was.
